Amanda Robinson
Amanda is the Director of Development for The Climate Initiative (TCI). At TCI, she works to fundraise to educate, empower and activate youth aged 13-23 towards taking climate action. Prior to TCI, Amanda worked for Creation Justice Ministries where she served in a multitude of roles ranging from development and operations to managing the ocean program. She grew up in Saco, Maine where she spent as much of her childhood by the ocean as possible and has long held a personal passion for ocean conservation. In particular, she has a strong interest in marine mammal conservation. She knew she wanted to be in the climate space when her high school, Thornton Academy, did an assembly presentation on the impacts of climate change and was inspired by efforts to mitigate sea level rise. She holds a Bachelors in Political Science and Business Administration from Hartwick College, as well as a Masters in Public Administration from Cornell University.
In her spare time she can often be found exploring bookstores, going on nature walks, hanging out with her fluffy orange cat or designing candles for her sustainable candle studio, Isle & Wild.
